One disadvantage of colored contacts is that during accomodation to light the size of the pupil changes. For example, the pupil enlarges in dim light and it sometimes gets covered by the colored part of the lens leading to disturbances in vision.

    The choice of colored contact lenses is determined by the purpose for wearing the lens. When choosing the lens color, it is important to choose one that blends in well with your natural eye color and skin tone.
